I loaded it multiple times but I never managed to even get to the play screen. how odd.
If you liked world of warcraft.or heroes of might and magic get ready for a great game. I loved this game. The detail to the sound,gameplay,replay-ability,graphics,and story are unbelievable. If you enjoy exploring beautiful environments then get ready for a game that has some coolness to it. I hope this game goes mainstream.because not only is it a great game; I would expect lots of awesome sequals. I hope you all enjoy this game. :D
flee or b. Some of the quests were just dumb, or evil, and I just didn't see myself- for instance- murdering someone for a net, or killing a hundred people/animals just because a person refuses to fly a flag over their castle. The combat can be hard with occasional monster groupings overpowering your hero and forcing him to a. This is a semi-addictive game, where you play of one of three (male) heroes and undertake various quests for the king, and the citizens of your country. I like the game, and I enjoy playing, but I ended up uninstalling, just because I was finding myself fighting, re-purchasing army units, wash repeat. Sure I don't mind playing a guy on occasion, but I'd much prefer a choice.
I was also frustrated not to be able to play a woman, since I am one.
suffer through a long combat where you die anyway.
I would like a way to `opt out' of some of these quests rather than to choose some of the dialog choices which I didn't agree with.Combat can be repetitive and boring, and I wish it could be skipped occasionally especially with some of the more boring monsters.Overall, while it seems like I'm ripping the game.
I like some elements, such as some of the side stories, but I found the gameplay frustrating at times.
The quests were just silly, and morally dubious.
No fun.
The choice to run and abandon your army seems so cowardly.
I'm not.
It got boring constantly having to find a source for units.
My first time, I played for about 4 weeks on medium difficulty as a paladin. I was able to play without internet connection, so that's definitely another plus. They don't really do that much direct damage (especially Zerlock and Saleem) and don't scale to later part of the game.2) I find that there are some creatures unbalanced. 1) The special Rage ability is a bit underpowered/unbalanced in my opinion. The fight takes place in a chess-board style turn-based match. I'm more into strolling around and fighting at my leisure than getting my heart pumping or getting myself frigthened when a monster crashed through the wall.
This is a very forgiving game, you can make quite a bit of mistakes (even on hard) and still make it through. The premise of the game is you played a character (warrior, paladin, or mage) who has an army of creatures (up to 5 creatures) and go around adventuring and fighting (very much like HOMM). I am currently playing my 2nd go-around on this game on hard difficulty as a mage. At the end of the day, I got the game for 14-bucks with free shipping from Amazon. Which is a +1 star right there. There are some small minus though, at least to me. With the amount of fun I had and the rock-solid stability of this game, I'm giving this a 5-star.
The game runs fine on my last-gen machine (Duo Core E8400 w/ 2GB RAM, ATI 4830). This is a very fun game for those who "likes to take it easy" when it comes to gaming. I think level 5 creatures is a bit weak for their cost. There's quite a bit strategy to use because you can have spells, different configuration in your army, and creature's unique abilities to use to your advantage. Zero crash in over 2 months of playing. And some creatures (Royal Snakes, Evil Beholders, Black Unicorns) are a bit too powerful.
It gives me an error each time saying that SecuROM does not recognize the original disc. It brought me fond memories and I had a little bit of time to play on my laptop during my military training. I bought this game because I am a fan of the original King's Bounty. Now I am pissed. I brought this back to my room and installed it. It was great, probably in need of a little modding, but well worth playing in vanilla form. All was well until I installed some updates from Vista and lo and behold the game will no longer work. No where did this game warn me that it was installing SecuROM, and I would have never purchased it if I had known it was using SecuROM. Now, I am left away from home, unable to do much with my computer to combat this malware.
